Look, I’ll be honest: my favourite place in the world is wherever you are, preferably on a couch and ideally with my head on your lap. I’m basically a weighted blanket with a heartbeat.

I’m a friendly guy, always ready to greet visitors like long-lost friends. If someone walks through the door, I make sure they feel like royalty – or at least like someone who brought snacks. My USP (unique selling point) is that I even get on very well with THE CAT.

Outside, I love a good sniff-around. I’ll explore, sure, but don’t worry – I’m not the “run for the hills” type. I keep close to home. Loyalty and comfort are kind of my brand.

I have some creaky joints, but that doesn’t stop me from hopping on the couch like I pay rent. Good quality food, perhaps even one with a supplement for joint support is important to me, but good food is a good idea anyway, right?

Evenings are simple for me. I settle down early on my chosen couch and once I’m down… I’m down. I take my lounging seriously. House-trained, too, by the way – don’t bother asking me for a “last wee” before bed. I march to my own drum.

I’m gentle, sweet-natured, and happiest when someone is nearby. Being alone? Not my thing. I’m a companion dog through and through.
