Thank you for your interest in adopting from Cape Dachshund Rescue!
Please take a look at our adoptable dogs below. When applying for one of our special Cape Dachshund Rescue dogs, we ask that you fill in a form which gives us an idea of who you are. We will then arrange for one of our wonderful volunteers to contact you to arrange a home visit.

Alternatively, click on the link below to download the Adoption Application Form. Kindly complete the form and email it back to cdradoptions@gmail.com. On receipt of your completed form, we will make contact with you to arrange our home visit.
Please take note of the following before completing the Adoption form:
- You do not have a power breed dog resident in your home.
- You have written permission from your body corporate/landlord to have a dog/add an additional dog to your property.
- If you have a pool, it is either fenced with spacing no wider than 6 cm or you have a fixed safety pool cover. No floating or evaporation covers will be considered.
- You are aware of the adoption fee.
- Cape Dachshund Rescue uses volunteers to perform our home checks. We may not have volunteers in your area, which could delay the adoption process.
- You agree to a home inspection.
- We will consider applications aged 65-70 for dogs of 7 years and over with low/medium energy levels. Applicants of between 60 and 80 years old should consider our Frosty Face Foster Programme.
Full Terms & Conditions
The parties agree that to the extent they sign electronically, their electronic signature is the legally binding equivalent to their handwritten signature. Whenever they execute an electronic signature, it has the same validity and meaning as their handwritten signature. They will not, at any time in the future, repudiate the meaning of their electronic signature or claim that their electronicsignature is not legally binding. They agree not to object to the admissibility of this Agreement as an electronic record, or a paper copy of an electronic document, or a paper copy of a document bearing an electronic signature, on the grounds that it is an electronic record or electronic signature or that it is not in its original form or is not an original.
